Start of my [info]mission101 List
The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Cross them off as you do them, and add the dates. Include the date you started the list and the finishing date.

Sooo...I came across this [info]mission101 thing and decided it was a great opportunity to kick myself in the butt and add some direction to my life (since I don't have much these days) ;)

You wouldn't believe how long it took to come up with a list! It may be less whimsical than I might like, but it's a good blend of things I've been putting off forever and know I ought to do, things that will make me who I want to be, and of course a little randomness here and there. So click on if you're curious. I'm sure I'll be referencing the list on here from time to time. If you want to join me on zee quest, check out [info]mission101!

Wow, I absolutely adore this idea, because there are seriously a list of things I REALLY need to do/want to do and have been procrastinating, and of course I make lists and semi-to do lists but there's never any concrete "due date" so you've definitely inspired me to start my own!! Thank you and I hope yours go successfully, you have a lot of really amazing goals set up for yourself!

Woohoo, do it! I can't want to read yours :) But don't get discouraged if it takes a loooong time to come up with stuff - I actually wanted to post this over a month ago.

Awesome!!! I only found out about it by a fluke chance when I was scampering around a video rental shop and I came across a VHS entitled "Prozac Nation" earlier this year. It was amazing to see the film. Christina Ricci is such a talented actor and I wouldn't be surprised if she's been through a lot herself.

So you've heard about it for a long time?

Hey, I didn't know you did the NaNoWriMo thing. Cool.

Don't forget to have fun while you try to get all of the stuff crossed off your list!

I might be able to help you out with a few of those.

Any help would be wonderful :)
I've never actually done NaNoWriMo before, but something I want to do is to do a lot more writing/composing/creative stuff. Except I need the deadlines to motivate me or I'll just sit on my butt. So NaNoWriMo seemed like a good idea!

That's very impressive. I have to say I laughed at this one:

    58. Pass SuperMario 1

By the way I more or less have access to a professional recording studio, and with the musical happening in July I have some plans to record some of the material. We are using the cast, of course, but there is one song (in particular) that I feel hasn't been done justice yet, and if you're willing I'd like to get you or Linda to give it a go (perhaps after the actual show is over.)

That one was actually because I watched someone pass it a few weeks ago, and realized that it's been the bane of my childhood. The time has come to conquer it! Except I don't have an NES because my brothers tossed it off the balcony years ago, and I have no clue where the game is. So I'm definitely hoping someone can help me out with that one (plus the knowledge of level 8-4) - hint, hint! ;)

I'd love to give anything you've written a-go! Hopefully I'll be awesome or something! :)

Thanks :D One of the criteria is to document, but I thought doing it as a picture would be cool, I think someone else on [info]mission101 is doing that :) It would be cool website material anyway!

Ya it took long enough to create, but now it all seems a little daunting!

This can be addictive. I started off just like that, but then it developed into a full-grown genealogy obsession. I even made a trip overseas to do some archival research and interview my relatives. Now I have 600+ people in my family tree and no idea when I will have time to structure it. So beware :)
